The Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said this while addressing the President at a discussion meeting organized by the Bangladesh Awami League at Bangabandhu International Conference Center on the occasion of the 8th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu on Friday afternoon.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “It has gradually become clear that it was a murder. To avenge the victory we have achieved in the Great War, and to bring that opposition back to power, rehabilitate and bring back the ideology of Pakistan. That is why the killers made their first declaration soon after the assassination of the Islamic Republic of Bangladesh. The one who didn’t dare to keep it any longer, changes later.

The Prime Minister said, ‘Today the father of the nation is not among us. But his ideal is in us. Let’s do politics with that ideal.

In reply, the Prime Minister herself said, “Maybe when a people who are sacrificing for the independence of a nation and politics with policy ideals are in power, then a nation can prosper only if it is in power.”

Sheikh Hasina said, “If those who support the defeated forces are in power, then no nation can advance, no nation can prosper.”
